“We see more defendants and witnesses in the criminal court whose native language is not English or who are hearing- or speech-impaired,” [Judge J. David] Walsh said in an email. “Our interpreters are highly educated and especially trained to interpret court proceedings including evidentiary hearings and jury trials.”
