ATIF Course – Basic and Vital Technology for Translators

This coming Saturday, May 2nd, 2020, the Association of Translators & Interpreters of Florida (ATIF) will be offering a webinar entitled: “Basic and Vital Technology for Translators”.

The presenter will be our very own ATIF colleague and Treasurer Analía Bogdan. Analía Bogdan is a sworn English<>Spanish translator and holder of a Master´s degree in Translation and Interpreting. Analía worked in the financial industry for ten years before becoming a professional translator. She has a postgraduate course in Capital Markets Financing Structures and is a certified Mutual Funds advisor in Argentina.

Analía was the Coordinator of the Finance Division of the Buenos Aires Translator´s Association for 5 years, and a member of the Association’s Technology Division for 8 years. She has written many articles for professional publications, such as the ATA Spanish Division’s Intercambios and the ATA Legal Division Blog. She is a co-author of the Manual de informática aplicada a la traducción (Manual of Technology Applied to Translation) a unique work published in Latin America. She has given several courses and talks related to finance and technology for translators and was a speaker at the ATA Conference in 2019. She works for banks and other multinationals.

Join Analía as she presents on how and why to use technology for our own benefit as translators. This session is intended for professionals of all languages who want to start using technology applied to translation. Using a clear and simple approach, she will explore key tools available and its enormous importance for the daily work of translators.

This professional development activity will take place through the Zoom platform and it is limited to 100 participants. Technical support for Zoom will not be provided.

You must register for the course (or become a member of ATIF ($70) and register for the course) through our website at www.atifonline.org, by pressing the button Basic and Vital Technology for Translators.

When you register, please make sure to use the email that you have your ATIF account and profile under, your Zoom invitation will be sent to your ATIF email. Once you register, a confirmation is presented to you in red on that same screen.

PLEASE do not ask for further confirmation and PLEASE do not register if you do not plan to attend as participants will be limited to the first 100 members to register.
