Medical Interpreters and Meaningful Access to Healthcare

ATIF is honored to announce the IMIA Florida Regional Conference at Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida on Saturday, November 10, 2018.

The conference will showcase aspects of the healthcare system which affect LEP/ASL-patient care and highlight the medical interpreter’s key role in ensuring patient safety and healthcare equity. We hope to gather participants from all over Florida and the US Southeast as we educate, motivate and advocate for the medical interpreting profession. The conference will offer CEUs/CEs for certified interpreters, opportunities for networking and discussion on how to advance and expand language access.

As you know our ATIF Vice-President, Emily Dalerta is the State Chapter Chair for IMIA. She will be hosting this educational and professional event.  For all conference information including registration, nearby accommodations, conference agenda, sponsors, CEUs/CEs and more.
