Adrienne Arsht Center

Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Miami-Dade. Located at Biscayne Boulevard between N.E. 13th and 14th Streets, downtown Miami. The Arsht Center occupies 570,000 square feet.


Bayside Marketplace (Open-air area)

A two-story open air shopping center located in downtown Miami, Florida. Located on the banks of Biscayne Bay, with the City of Miami marina on one side. You can walk along the bayfront, go bike riding or relax in one of the park’s many grassy areas. You can also shop at the adjacent Bayside Marketplace, a waterfront outdoor mall with tons of popular stores, restaurants and bars. You will also enjoy impressive monuments by leading sculptors.


 

Biltmore Hotel

A luxury hotel and historic landmark built in 1926 in one Miami’s most renown neighborhood, Coral Gables, near Miami Beach and downtown Miami. Famous for its venues and for housing celebrities and personalities. President F. Roosevelt read about his presidential victory in 1932 from his suite at the Biltmore. Check out its Sunday brunch, pool and bar. Ask about the ghosts that apparently still enjoy its premises!


 

Brickell City Centre

Miami Metrobus 

Metrobus serves all major shopping, entertainment and cultural centers, as well as major hospitals and schools. Service is available from Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, West Miami-Dade, Broward County, Homestead, Florida City and the Middle Keys. Buses are equipped with bicycle racks that are attached to the front of the bus.


Metromover

Free mass transit automated people mover train system operated by Miami-Dade Transit. It serves the Downtown Miami, Brickell, Park West and Arts & Entertainment District neighborhoods. A view of the city from a high place!


City of Miami Trolley Service

A free city trolly service accessible to everyone. Most cities in Miami-Dade County have trolley
services. Arrives at its stop every 15-30 minutes, approximately. NOTE: The City of Miami trolley does not go to Miami Beach. See Miami Beach Trolley.  You can also call 305.416.1132 for assistance with the trolley or schedules. Compliment to other transportation services.


TRI-RAIL

Tri-Rail (reporting mark TRCX) is a commuter rail line that serves three
counties (Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach) and links Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. This is a 70.9 mi (114.1 km) system with 18 stations along southeast Florida. It has connections with  Amtrak, the Metrorail and the Miami Intermodal Center.

Biscayne National Park

The largest marine sanctuary in the U.S. National Parks system. It is made up of four ecosystems: coastal mangrove hammocks, Biscayne Bay’s shallow lagoon waters, coral limestone keys and the third-largest offshore reef in the world. Among other activities, the park offers guided boat tours: the Park After Dark Evening Sunset Bay Cruise; the Heritage of Biscayne Cruise, a three-hour tour of Biscayne Bay’s waters; and the Stiltsville Guided Historic Tour.


 

 Dry Tortugas National Park

A cluster of seven islands, composed of coral reefs and sand, surrounded by shoals, noted for bird and marine life and shipwrecks. Fort Jefferson is its central feature. It is also one of the most remote parks in the National Park System. Located approximately 70 miles west of Key West it is accessible only by a daily concession ferry, private boats, charter boats, or seaplane. There is no cellular service or wi-fi at the Dry Tortugas.


 

Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary

Home to more than 6,000 animal species, the only coral barrier reef in the continental United States, extensive seagrass beds, mangrove-fringed islands, historical submerged shipwrecks and other archeological findings.

Everglades National Park

Located just before the Florida Keys, it is the largest subtropical wilderness in the
U.S. and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ENP is home to a wide range of

John Pennenkamp Coral Reef State Park

Established in 1963, the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park was the first undersea park in the United States.


 

Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden

10901 Old Cutler Road, Miami, Florida 33156

Founded in 1938 it holds an impressive collection of plants from all over the world. It
offers bountiful activities for all visitors: festivals, art exhibitions, concerts, plant sales, art classes, pet-friendly dog dates and early bird walks through the gardens. You are allowed to bring food and beverages and picnic on the grounds.


 

Historic Virginia Key Beach Park

Located in Biscayne Bay, less than a mile from the shores of Downtown Miami. Scenic beaches and views of the bay and the Atlantic. Ideal location for swimming, relaxing in the sun. Virginia Key Beach has a rich cultural history.


 

Matheson Hammock Park Beach

Located on Biscayne Bay in the southern part of Coral Gables. It opened in 1930 as a gift to the county from conservationist William J. Matheson. Hiking, kayaks and canoes rentals, kiteboarding and swimming in a man-made atoll pool surrounded by a sandy beach.
