ATIF is a non-profit professional association run by volunteers. Our Board is composed of an Executive Committee whose members are the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, and an odd number of Directors. Following the example of many professional organizations with the goal of ensuring continuity in its leadership, ATIF holds elections annually. Each member is elected for a two-year term and the overlapping created by annual elections allows for incoming and outgoing members to work together.
All members can nominate candidates and Active members in good standing can nominate themselves since they are eligible to run for office according to our Bylaws. A roster of ATIF members can be easily obtained by searching in the Directory.
I am interested in running. How do I find out what I am getting into? Usually, you will learn mostly on the job. But a great place to start is by familiarizing yourself with our Bylaws.
How can I communicate with the Nominating Committee? Just write to nomcom2023@atifonline.com. The domain is independent of ATIF’s to ensure transparency and freedom of communications between the members and the Nominations Committee and among the Nominations Committee members themselves.
