Thank you in advance for your participation in this academic survey. The purpose of the survey is to explore medical and healthcare interpreters’ perspectives about if, when, and how to address cultural issues that arise in their medical interpreting practice.
I am graduate student in the Medical Interpreting Doctorate Studies program, conducting this study under the supervision of Dr. Yasuhide Nakamura, at Osaka University, Japan. Participation in this survey is completely voluntary and will take about 10-15 minutes to complete. You are free to exit the survey at any time without penalty or risk. The names of participants will be not be disclosed, and there is no foreseeable risk or discomfort to your participation.
Results of the study will inform my graduate thesis findings and may be used in presentations and publications.
