This Privacy Policy describes how the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Florida (“ATIF,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit or use atifonline.org (the “Site”), create an account, apply for membership, pay dues, register for events, or otherwise interact with ATIF.

This Policy is intended to be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Florida, United States.

  • Payments and billing information: billing name, billing address, payment history, invoices/receipts, and transaction identifiers.
    Note: Payment card information is typically processed by our payment provider and is not stored by ATIF.

B. Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, pages viewed, dates/times, and referring/exit pages.

  • Cookies and similar technologies: used for site functionality, security, and analytics (see Section 7).

C. Information from third parties

  • Payment processors (e.g., Stripe) may provide transaction confirmations and related data.

  • Membership management tools (e.g., PressPoint, if used) may store and process member account and directory/profile information.

3) How We Use Information

  • Provide and operate the Site and member services (accounts, logins, membership features).

  • Process membership dues, event payments, refunds (if applicable), and keep records for accounting.

  • Communicate with you about membership, events, updates, and administrative notices.

4) How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money.

  • Payment Processing: with payment processors to complete transactions.

What is ATIF?

ATIF is the Florida Chapter of the American Translators Association (ATA), a non-profit organization dedicated to the professional development of translators and interpreters.

Who can join ATIF?
Membership is open to individuals who are active in the fields of translation and interpretation, provided they agree to abide by the Association’s Bylaws and the ATA Code of Professional Conduct.
Does ATIF offer certification?

While we do not issue certification directly, we offer events that allow attendees to obtain Continuing Education (CE) points accepted by the Florida Courts, ATA, NAJIT, IMIA, and CCHI.

How can I renew my membership?
The renewal period runs from December 1st through 31st, with a grace period during the month of January.
