During the ATA Conference in Miami (November 4-7), we were all witnesses of the great power of collaboration that reinforced our belief that a volunteer organization is only as strong as its volunteers.
ATIF would like to publicly recognize the work of 24 individuals –a mix of members, non-members and board members–who graciously donated their time and smiles to give a warm welcome to conference attendees. It was these individuals’ collective effort that caught the attention of ATA Headquarters, ATA Board members, and other experienced conference participants who repeatedly commented–both privately and through social media–that they had never seen a hospitality desk so well-staffed at all times.
An addition to staffing the hospitality desk, some of these volunteers took the time to write blogposts–both for ATIF and for ATA, to find deals and discounts at local restaurants and other businesses, and to bring maps and other resources for visitors.
