If you have been to our Facebook page, you most likely read Edith’s account of last Thursday’s (4/16) meeting at La Fontana in Coral Springs. Let me share an excerpt:
“Among the many interesting conversations, the interpreter’s role during a deposition and the new dispositions about the practice of the legal interpreter profession that came out recently from Tallahassee were the subjects that dominated the night. As always, we learn a lot from each other and we forged new plans for obtaining new information about the changes in Tallahassee and for organizing workshops in this area,” Edith Oliva.
We were a small, intimate group. Of the nine present, 6 were ATIF members: Edith, Sada, Irene, Emily, Becky, and Gio who happened to be working in the area. Dorota, Vernice and Amanda are working T&I professionals and students.

Third Thursdays, in Broward, and First Tuesdays, in Miami-Dade, are monthly social gatherings for T&I professionals with or without ties to ATIF.
