The Midwest Association of Translators and Interpreters (MATI), a regional chapter of the American Translators Association (ATA), is pleased to announce an upcoming Brown Bag series of six (6) webinars for 2015. As the title Research & Practice in Legal Interpretation and Translationindicates, each session is an opportunity for exploration in how academic research and professional practices support successfully mediated legal encounters.
Please forward the attached call for presenters to your members, students, faculty or other interested parties. You may also find the call for papers and other details on our website: http://www.matiata.org/Brown-Bag-Webinar-Series.
We are currently soliciting abstracts from interested presenters until November 30, 2014. Please note that, while MATI serves members based in Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana, the call for presenters is open to researchers, graduate students, professionals and administrators from elsewhere in the U.S. or other countries. No travel is required to present. All web support will be provided; collaborative presentations also welcome.
Please address questions regarding submissions to MATI at: matiemail@gmail.com, or by replying to this email.
Thank you,
