Interpreters and Translators of Florida have been missing class representation, a professionally oriented group of colleagues with whom to work together, share ideas and knowledge, learn and grow. The energy harnessed around the success of the Hospitality Desk put together to receive ATA Conference attendees in Orlando last November 2008 has been put to good use. After a few meetings, an Interim Board was created. Our goals remain the same established in the February 15 meeting: We are working towards incorporating the group as a non-profit organization since our earlier achievement in that area was interrupted; and appoint new members to the Interim Board to replace those who were voted out and those who later resigned.
